How do I create a home?

Creating your first home

Tap Start a New Home. You’ll go through three quick steps:

1. Create home screen

• Home name — e.g. “Smith Family” or “Team Awesome”.
• Your name (owner) — so everyone knows who’s in charge.
• Reset schedule — choose how chore completions reset: Daily or Manual on free; Weekly is available with Chorish Plus. If assignment resets are enabled, they follow the same schedule.
• Tap Continue to Add Members → when you’re done.

Already have a Chorish export? Use Import Home and pick the file instead.

2. Add members screen

• Add up to 3 more members on free (4 including you). With Chorish Plus, up to 5 more (6 total).
• Type a name and tap + Add Member for each. You’ll see “X of 4 members” on free (or “X of 6” with Chorish Plus) as you go.
• When you’re ready, tap All Set - Let’s Go! →.

3. All set screen

• You’ll see “You Did It!” and “Your home is ready for action!”
• Tap Go to Your Home to open your dashboard.
• Need to change something? Use Start over to go back.

4. Dashboard

You’re in. From here you can add chores, assign them if you want, see progress, and let everyone tap when they’ve done a task.

Multiple homes — One home is included free. Chorish Plus unlocks more than one (e.g. family and roommates). Switch between them from the Chore Command Centre. All data stays on your iPad.
