How do I export or back up my data?

Export and backup

Export

• Go to the Chore Command Centre and tap Manage on your home.
• Open the Export tab.
• Tap Export Home to download a file with your home, members, chores, notes, and settings. Keep it somewhere safe (e.g. iCloud, email it to yourself).

Import

You can only import when creating a new home:

• On the Start a New Home / Import Home screen, choose Import Home and pick a Chorish export file.
• This works for restoring a backup on a new iPad or moving from chorish.com using a compatible export.

All data lives on your iPad—we don’t store it. So backing up is on you (we recommend doing it every so often). Stuck? support@chorish.app.
